FPS Weapon: Periscope Machine Gun

First challenge ever! Let's see how this goes. Now bear with me here, this first concept is just to get my idea across. It's a periscope machine gun that allows you to shoot at your enemy without exposing any part of your body.

I'll get a good functional looking concept done soon.

Good point! So here's my newer more "portable" periscope machine gun. I doubt I'll do much more concepting. I'll figure out all the details when I start modeling it.

Still, I'd like to get some feedback on what I have so far.

Yeah, the cornershot is awesome, and good ref. Keep in mind that it's just a rig to place another weapon in, too -- in the top shot EQ posted is a normal grenade launcher, and in the second shot it's just a handgun fitted in. Look for some videos of it, you should find a lot of inspiration for a design like this.
