just need some wear, tear, rust, chips, and gunk!! Could maybe go with some panel color variation too, seems a little *too* uniform. Nothing drastic, maybe as simple as a slight desat of some of the panels that overlap or are "base" pieces.
Super clean and sexy shading though, badass!! like the hint of radiosity on the face
Ok second time i texture something lowpoly so i didn't have any high expectations, but i used the paint tool in maya for the first time and it worked better than i expected had a great time doing this and learned something new,, don't have time to finish this though, need to go back to schoolwork again T_T, but I'm guessing i will be doing this soon again.
nice shapes and colours, massbot!
i really like his chest armour ... sharpen it up and add some smaller bright highlights and it'll look amazing, i reckon!
I decided to get off the sidelines last night. Though I hadn't planned on posting with such early progress, the thread was beginning to look like it could use another kick in the pants.
@killingpeople: Im really loving the character so far, keep it up.
@sistema: Looking great, my only crit is that you need to work on the lighting of the character, give it more depth in some areas, and brighten up some others. Overall, I like where it is going, keep it up.
Thanks again slaught for the sdk, and letting me use this on my site.
Here is a lil messing around, give or take an hour. Trying to get better at creating better textures, with better lighting and more depth. :P
Was too scared to touch this since I had never digitally painted before but since I have been teaching myself in the last 2 weeks I decided I would give it a shot. I have also never done a 128x128 map before so this is all brand new. No idea what I will do with the armor. anyway cheers, great model slaught!
Hey Slaught great model, just what I needed to help me practice mechanical stuff, I always seem to be doing organics! Had lots of fun doing this, havent done texs this small, still learning.
Pretty cool to see how many different looks can happen just through a texture.
Qubism, awesome, swesome work! (great site too man!)
Winterlord, nice idea to make him fantasy instead of sci-fi, looks cool, I wish I had thought of it first! haha
Anyways heres my shot, I came out pretty pleased with it, a couple seam issues and I got lazy where the neck goes into the suit, just darkness! :poly102: oh well
