@Razorb, sry that i didnt answer before, wouldnt bump the thread without any images
I am doing fine! Burried in work as well, also thats my last year at university, so its tough there, too.
Glad you're good, where do you work now? @ebagg, no problem, Eliotte, youre most welcome @ladyknowles, thank for warm words @Andrew, hahah, thanks! You have a great sketchbook, keep on it. @Peter, maybe in fuuuuture Thanks!
few shitzorz once again- Stardust movie still and color experiment
@thank you, Jessica @SSquir33, glad you found them helpful You're welcome! @Razorb, thanks dude Yeah, doing some concept art, i hope i'll be able to show it soon. Thanks for visiting!
This is genuinely awesome. I love your preliminary sketches to feel the character out just as much as the final, though I do feel that the sketches had a lot more motion and curvature to them; the finals seem to be a little stiff/rigid in comparison.
And I'd love to know more about the planar armor on the minotaur sketch too!
@Thank you, Kot I am sure you could handle that easily though! @Gillmeister, thanks for kind words, sir! @Suprore, oh thank you,Joseph You made my day. @Makkon, that means a lot to me coming from you, buddy! Yes you're totally right, i still have problem with stiffness in finished works.
About your question, guys- it was a little experiment with worfklow- start with "low poly" base and then bevel things, chamfer edges etc Takes too much energy although(because you have to design everything and render at the same time), so i threw it up for a while. I'll come back to that approach later, maybe its not that bad.
So, thanks for taking a time and visit me in my cave here, friends
Thanks Spatz
Anthricus, i have two brushes for grainy soft edge areas- bristle and chalk. Both in the brush set, that i shared on previous page
Thanks Eyal! I am alright Thanks for asking.
I like your rendering, especially that pale daemon female. Nice balance between texture and just plain colour. Can't really find anything to crit on right now. Anything in particular you want us to observe that you feel you weak at?
Keep up the good work!
@Callesw, fanks) @Blaisoid, that pleases me, thank you @wizo, cheers! @zporpnitteg, thank you! @Delrain, thanks man @AimBiz, thanks man! I would like to hear what your eyes cling on. It can be anything, really.
Here is new voltron pack. Quick experiments, exploration, play etc.
Would love to see you render out the middle quickie with the undead. I like the mood it has going on.
First one is an overall nice study. More render work on that would be nice.
The last one with the underlight has really nice contrast, although perhaps a tad too much. Some spots seems to appear pure white on my screen anyway. As with the other would like to see this one refined as well. As loose as it is now it evokes the imagination of what could be going on in the scene.
@Two Listen, heheh thanks! It's just a hole in rock, lol, nothing special @Joseph, thx man, playing in @suburbum, thank you @AimBiz, Yes i might touch it later, it seems that undead picture has some potential.
First study wasn't for rendering(i rarely do studies for it), it was done to study brushwork. I try to set up 1 major task per study, maximum 2. This way i can concentrate on it better. Thanks for crits
gosh i love these creatures
Stumbled upon this thread and had to read every.single.page.... Seriously man your work is incredible...nothing short of stunning.. Your use of colour and brush strokes are inspired. Excellent work mate

I'd like to ask about the somewhat polygonal masses in a few of the sketches, noteably here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2491209/works/fighting%20project/minotaur_sketches.jpg
what's your process here? Are you breaking the designs into simple, planar shapes, or is it just a rendering touch?
And I'd love to know more about the planar armor on the minotaur sketch too!
