I thought I had set aside the action figures covering my desk phase of my career, but these are too rad ! The Locust Drones are my faves. Going to have make room for them
Been waiting for these for a while.
Forbidden planet uk is expecting them the end of may, 30 quid for all 4. I'm not too big on my figures but Gears just seems to need figures to me, considering that and UT is pretty much like macfarlane (etc) toys in video games (a good thing!).
Edit: out of curiosity, was it anyone here who designed the armor? I was too late to the forums to know, and I only ask because;
That pic of the Marcus Fenix toy reminds me of the guy who created the Gears armor. He was featured in an OXM article before and he looks like a real life Marcus Fenix. Now more than ever do I think they should just let him star as Marcus in the upcoming Gears movie. If he can't act oh well, I don't expect the movie to be any good anyway. He looks the part which is good enough I guess.
I guess really it was a combination of Chris Perna ( Art Lead on Gears) and Kevin Lanning ( character modeller on Gears) who designed the Locust armor style. They're both awesome artists and great guys ... also, much like the locust themselves they are very beefy and have no hair which I've always found ironic as they say the best art comes from within!
