    qubism is from germany 0.o

    cool stuff btw

but there seems to be a problem with the img view, sometimes it´s staying with a halftransparent overlay

Hi Qube. Love your work, but where is it?

At first glance I just didn't know where to click even though you put "click one of these". Your menu items reads as headlines, not something I can click on. Consider giving your links a color or even worse <u>underline</u> them.
I went straight for name recognition and clicked Pior, which I honestly don't understand confused.gif. I think it's cool you give props to your friends, but not on the homepage in the middle section.

It seems more like a personal site. I think it should be clear for a potential employer where he can go to skip all this.

I love the way you present your work when I get in there. My main beef is with your front page.

ya, good stuff, confusing interface, and too much text up front. Always assume that I (your viewer) is a complete idiot with a short attention span, dump me in your gallery, and make it easy to figure out.

great art but yeah I found it a little strange that I had to think a bit before I could go to it.

jep.. the layout confused me too..

would make the menu more outstanding
the "click on..." text says it already.. someone has to tell you where the menu is...

and maybe some separatorlines between the paragraphs of the info-page would help to understand the layout faster

the headlines and the normal text are also not different enough to see in one glance what is what

yea so then i mad a more obvious nav on the frontpage. after
that first click i guess its obvious what is to use to come
to the other areas. i believe everyone knows or has
experienced navigations on top of the site on the left or
right side and just knows where to go.

anywhere therefor a lil more eyecatchin now

for those who look at it again now be sure to clear your
    cache when reviewin the site.

Great art, but no "next gen" stuff.

I doubt you will have much of a chance over at crytek (but I wish you luck never the less).

Personally I would try to look for companies that focus on Wii, PSP, DS and mobile games. Seems more suited to your current skill set (or at least that's what your portfolio shows).

That's certainly better, but I would still just dump people directly into your gallery

yea yea im so sorry the lost son has returned.
ive had gotten the impression that all the ol guys arent
around anymore either anyway. Yea well i wouldnt kind get
into the nextgenshite there. some of the wip models ive done
are rather detailed and i did a test before doin normal
mapped stuff for them. so thats the target.

the thing is do i have a choice when stayin in germany?
any recommendations where else to apply?

my ol laptop is totally worn out. got myself a new puter
with dualcore and a 24" screen btw and love using it. so
therell be more hot stuff comin at you...

Most of the old guys are still here, but there's a tonnage of newblood.
Was a dose of nostalgia looking at the gameart section of your site, looking forward to seeing you put out some nextgenshite but I agree, you have seriously strong oldskool texturing skills so you'd be a sure hit in the handheld/wii market.

I loved the site, found it easy to navigate and you have some seriously nice art there.
Good luck with the job hunt, I honestly don't think someone with your talent should have too much trouble really.

I want desktop wallpaper resolution on those graphisms! laugh.gif
That third one is my fave, with the transition from red to green. So vivid and bright - just beautiful.

Missed your texturing around here, qub. Glad to see you around.

here btw is a sculp i made todayy would love some comments and
suggestions if there are any since im without experience in
sculpting. atleast at a more defined level of detail.

    sculp.jpg

obviously im not into small resoluted images anymore since i
got my 24" monitor. feels great. u even can look videos on
    the net while sculpting...

vassago: whats your res?. i made one since i got the new
puter definatlly gotta do some more. eq is requesting
prints. im still not sure where to do it. any suggestions on
shops ala spreadshirt.net for posterprint that dont rip me
    of a big share?

Hey that's nice! I tend to disagree with the whole 'hey since you make great handpainted textures you should look into PSP and DS dev studios' talk. If someone's oldshool work kicks ass that means artistic eye, hence a smooth transition to sculpting.

As for this head I don't think it needs much more details. Maybe just on the ears, in order to 'lock' since atm it looks wip only because that on are is left undefined.

About your new site, I think it's great! Could use some more screen real estate maybe? I find the blinking things to be very, very distracting btw. I like how you got rid of the annoying Litebox behaviour to make it fast and snappy tho. Did you just edit the time factor in the code? I am looking into that one app right at the moment but can't decide yet between this and simpleviewer. If you have any thoughts to share on this please let us know!

thanks pior, that what i think myself too. its just a new
tool with a couple of new ways of doin things.
on the site im using lightbox modified with css and inside
of the js file just what u said. tho i suggest lookin into
other versions and clones since there are sometimes funny
things goin on. also there are version that can display
html. which might be interesting to have certain content
inside of somethin like lightbox and stuff...

rollin u said something about a halftransparent overlay.
    where is it exactly?

    sculp2.jpg
played around a lil further with it...

this img-viwer is popping up, the border are moving to fit the image size and than the grey is fading into the image .. but sometimes its stopping at 50% transprarency .. so you can barely see the pic

if i go to the next pic and back again it works most the time

are u using ie? not that i could do anything about it since i dont know anytthing about java. erm that might be some of the bugs tho that the lightboxclones dont have.

but with mozilla i never had any problems liek that
