Just decided to do this, some friends of mine told me this is the army to join. I believe it, everyone has good, strong concepts. I am working on my concepts right now, and am a bit undecided. When I get some of these concepts to look like actual concepts, and scanned in, I'll post them here.

I have decided to base my character loosely on the Chinese god, Sun Wu Kong. He is also referred to as the Monkey King, spawn of a demon and an angel, he took control of the armies of heaven when he got board with being a monkey. His artifact is a bow staff that can shrink and grow as much as he needs it to, small enough to fit behind his ear, and long enough to brace between two trees, or cliff edges, to bridge them or just save his life.

He would make sense as either a warlord or a stalker. I am open to ideas, because my brain seems not to be flowing with them just yet. Also he could use almost any magic, but ice makes the least sense with his personality.

You can never have to many monkeys. I do wonder whether its a good idea to use such a well known character unaltered for this particular competition, though. It'd be a good idea to put your own spin on things.

I decided to test out some other concepts. I started working on some ideas I was going to throw out, or save for some other time, and it started looking better to me. I ended up working more on this than re-working the concept of the monkey.

I went a little crazy with the limbs on this guy, but I think I can make it look good. I love tigers and I love elephants, so a bit of both have gone in to the design. I've used a large cat like lower body for a centaur-ish character before, but this one is totally unique(or will be made more unique as I go).

definately, you are right. I was only planning on "loosely" basing the concept on him. I have been brainstorming on what my own spin could be, one idea was an extra pair of arms, another was two heads, or giving him a Mayan tribal style instead of Chinese, but my mind kept wandering to this new concept I've presented, the elephant...thing.
