DWIII - Know Thy Enemy! (spy thread)

Unless a mod decides otherwise, I thought it would be cool to have a thread that highlights and particularly promising entries you spot from the other forums. For two reasons!

1. we need to see what's coming! Polycount scouts should report any non-polycount Kick-Ass (I know, who knew?) so nothing takes us by surprise!

2. I and many others dont have time to go trawling through pages and pages on each of the 9 forums to see what sweet models and concepts are floating about.. Particular help would be appreciated highlighting cool russian and chinese works as navigating their forums is tricky

oh snap, andrewley is in this? Hes one of my favorite concept artists... his 3d isnt as good as his 2d, but I bet hes improved a lot since I've last seen his 3d work.

I was going to do this as well Rooster, so thanks for taking the time to put this together. If you can post any links at the top in your original thread so we can keep this somewhat organized that would be great. Rollin your right, but if I see a great concept that makes me go damn! and then I know that 3d artist can do it...I want to make sure I keep an eye out on him, but green in the end anyway:)

How's about we make a thread where you post ONCE, then you can continue to edit that post with ONE image and a link to your thread. Something like thumbnails for people to browse instead of digging through all these threads.

edit note: Mods would delete ANY replies/non pimp or additional posts by same artist to keep the thread clean.

I see your point, but i still don't really think it's a big deal. Each team is responsible for encouraging and helping out all of their teammates, yeah, but there's no way to expect each team's members to dig through every thread on the other seven forums. Why shouldn't cross-site posts be highlighted by merit?

I agree with SupRore. Checking out whats happening on the other boards is suppose to motivate us and give us ideas of what tweaks could make our concept and execution more badass.

For instance if we see a flying creature coming from cgchat, It would be cool if a Polycounter adjusted his/her concept with a magical net artifact to counter that creature.
