Ha, Slammin' . I like his neck alot, and teh other parts look very hot aswell. I think it would be cool if you put some more definition on his jawbone(the part that's sticking out a bit).

Alright, armor time! Having fun with the toothy bit which imo is turning out rather nice. Didn't touch the inside yet so ignore that bit. Umm oh yeah for those who don't know, the blue is just to freeze the mesh, not the colorscheme I plan on using
Those under arms looks great. His bicep looks like someone is pushing it outwards from his armpit. Maybe giving it some more wheigt, and make it "hang" more?

dude...your work looks so good...i really love how this is coming out. I am currently working on my concept, among other art tests for studios...and work in general. So I have been busy, and I cant wait to see how this comes out...GREAT WORK. Plus, it is an honor to have you offer to model one of my concepts...it really is.

Now for a small update, tweaking the leg, still need to work a bit on his knee and upperleg. Did the leather belt and thingy on his leg. Straps that hold it all in place will be added next time (you can see them already on the final pre-sculpt model). Umm the ornamental design will also come back in the rest of the armor, leather and metal bits and such.
I'm not too fond of the head design, but this apart, it's very cool! and the sculpt is top notch! I dig those alien paterns on the armor!
can't wait to see more!
Alright, update time, a small one. Actually spend 2 or 3 days just thinking and trying with what I exactly wanted. Now the result, beltbuckle and flappy things!
I'll finish it up tomorrow but just wanted to show the progress so far.

still some little issues with the normal that I have to fix (mirroring, small artifacts) but so far rather pleased with how its all turning out
(whoops,somehow I forgot we have 9k for the whole thing.Oh well, leaves me more for the weapon and a bit more detail:) )
looks great! The skin folds I was liking from the begining held up really well in the normals.
on another note, I was wondering what you were talking about when you said cutting polys at 7200 tri's, then I saw your post below.
Depending on your weapon detail, it seems like you have plenty of polys to play with.
Also as vahl notified us on the boards, they added an extra 5 days to the time we have to complete.
So it seems that you should have plenty of time now too.

Alright, still some polies left to smooth out a few bit here n there, now on to texturing and fixing some normalmap errors etc etc. Very early days, no proper specmap. Just to give the idea 'm going with.
Alright, as far as I've got. Very happy how it is now (call it 90/95% done) but not being able to finish it in time. So I'll finish it off and still have me a nice portfolio piece.
So all in all, didn't finish, BUT made it waaay further then last time. So next year reason dictates I should finish

aww too bad, looks great though! the mouth on the back has a weird tone of pink, you might want to fix that. i really like the anatomy on the back of the legs!

Alright, some more armor goodness, going for a handmade/beat up metal and patchy leather look. Still got a way to go but it's taking shape.
