Hey dudes Ive decided to create a character that is based around his gauntlet artifacts (think infinity Gauntlets). They are imbued with light energy. They look like large power fists and have a blinding glowies emitting from them. He has various magical attacks. He looks like a human but has an internal glow in his eyes(god eyes). He will be wearing plate armor and welding a longsword that has been passed down for generations. They are made from an ancient alloy forged before the destruction of the machines.
I will elaborate more on his design when i get the time.

and don't stay to casual, give him also something unique crazy or so... else you gonna get the problem that he's gonna be to casual...
think of a desk full of toys and one of them is gonna be yours, so how do you gonna concept it, that somebody else is gonna pick your model right away...
but it's a great start!
i love the idea of the lightning (?) from the eyes
Friggin sweet though dude, keep on pushin it.
I would like to suggest making your concepts smaller and also work in a smaller size, then its much easier to get some quick shapes in it and dont get lost in the small details.
Thought it looked familiar... I see it at work every day!
More art, less plagiarism, please.
nice one, will.
it doesn't look like you need to do that kinda thing so resist the temptation in future

agreed.
Just keep pushing your own art further. It's one thing to borrow certain elements from others work...but to trace it completely...bad form.
I will work on it more and give him more of a human head. Give me some suggestions. I will also do a turnaround where everything is in proportion for images planes.

"Suggestions"... Why even ask for them? To be blunt, you gone and "fudged the bucket". I would suggest you refrain from doing this in the future cause as you may notice it doesn't look so bright and shinny.
I just never painted it over as much cause im in a much earlyer stage. Im never going to use another image again because it made me look like an idiot. thanks for pointing it out for me It will only make me better in my next image.
I'm sure you have a good enough imagination to invent some cool stuff!
My apologies!
keep working on your idea, it's only getting better with each iteration.
That said, I like the idea of huge gauntlets, though Mad has made it his personal style, I would try another route. Try to come up with something that is very eye catching, and when people look at it are like...wow...i've never seen that
These will not be the final designs for the armour or arms
but I know I want them a symmetrical. I have not decided my class but this guy looks like a Clericon or Invoker. My thumbs are more of a Warlord look. It will probably end up changing again. But now im going to start the basemesh.
Tris: 3690
second, your basemesh. at this stage worry more about the flow of the polys, and drop that count down a little for now. the flow in the shoulders is really nice, but the leg connections to the hips, an animator would kick you in the nuts if you handed that to them. and the face needs a lot of love. there are a lot of loops that would be very helpful in there
if you are just using this for sculpting and not the low poly, than cool, but having the flow right will help the sculpt a lot too.
Going to concept somemore now.
Send a wire frame to so we can see how your constructing him, please
Other than that Great progression I think, Keep Going!
Going to restart the head now.
Still a work progress and im learning as I go.
I restarted the head so I can get better edge flow. I am still reducing and I can delete some back faces. I plan on making the shoulders more organic and less tech. I also want his Shoulders and arms more A symmetrical. I was thinking one weapon arm and one shield arm. When I reach close to 9K I Will start beveling so I can bring this sucka into Z brush .
C&C are welcome
The picture at the bottom left is what I modeled before I tweaked it in z brush. I need to get some face reference then start on the high poly head.
Heres my first head sculpt. I want him to look like a seasoned warrior. Im going to push it as much as I can mirrored before I add A symmetry. Any Tips or comments would be great.

I think those little ridges will help put the X in hardxcore. I'm no master at anatomy, but I feel safe suggesting to head on to asymmetry once the lips get some treatment.
I also had a real problem with reversed normals in Zbrush so it was inverting some of my normal maps. These screen shots are baked occlusion and a cavity map. Im going to start the texturing now and work with crazy bump.
later!
