Yeah I tried to browse my picture folder to no avail. Thanks for the heads up bounchfx, I found that option playing around with it, but I'd really just like to be able to save directly from the image in the image wall. Either way it's pretty sweet!
It works great with firefox here, no more turning pages
in google, texture reference website etc.. Great add-on!
On though tho... It would have been great to be able to save
the picture directly from piclens than pushing the GOTO button.
Or maybe I'm missing something. But it will make my pics
searching a lot faster, thank you.
is there a windowed mode? since i have my dual monitors set up as one screen it fills both and the picture appears right across the gap in the monitors

Not doing that for me, just used my main monitor. Might be my setup. since I have two old crt's hooked up. One 19" as my main and a 17" as my secondary. Both monitors running different resolutions so that might be why.
oh yes!
It work nice with google thumbail's, it stream full size when you zoom..
But I'm desappointed with Devientart, it only stream little thumbails when user create a thumbail for the picture.
And second thing, the viewer has one max value for zoom (border of screen with border of picture)
Tried it at home too (Windows XP, 32-bit, Firefox 2.0.0.11), same result - it shows the "play" icon in the image but when I click it, it just centres my mouse in the primary monitor and switches app from Firefox to... nothing.
hmmm so how do you launch it again once youve clicked the little arrow at the top to go to the site the pic is from? it doesnt come up with the play button anymore . it was cool while it lasted

I also wish it would catalog all or at least several pages of my google search so I didn't have to close it, click next, and then reopen it again.

what do you mean?
it automatically goes to the next google page with it open. thats one of the best parts. just scroll over.
alright, this is pretty cool. with the aforementioned caveats--this needs to be able to browse through any site with indexed images or any folder on your computer.
and Soul is especially right, this as an alternative form to navigate art forums would be awesome.
I'm glad it uses an external app to run instead of trying to force it into the browser-window, it runs really smooth for me. Too bad it doesn't work unless there are links *to images, rather than fullsize images being on the page, but that's alright, I guess. Doesn't work in the WAYWO-thread though.

lol, I just want to tell it to browse all of conceptart.org

site: conceptart.org
although it only shows images on the site. .
Like others said, it needs more controls. I'd like to be able to open the image in a tab back in firefox while I continue searching. But it's still pretty hot for finding reference online.
thanks for the tip keg but it doesnt seem to work for me. Im running firefox and it seems to work perfectly when firefox starts up and the little gray arrows appear when I mouse over but as soon as Ive gone into piclens and out again to firefox the little arrows are gone for good. Whats wierd is that sometimes I can click where the arrows should be and piclens opens, other times it doesnt. but there is a little blue icon on my toolbar to run it except it goes back to the last image you saw instead of showing the images on the current page. Hmm needs a bit of refinement then, but its really cool.

Thanks adam!
and as gwot mention in irc, ability to use it with your own folders on your computer or just any webpage
in the top left there is an arrow in a circle. click it. it will bring you to the images' page where you can then save it!
I'm sure it'll happen sooner rather than later though!

Browsing image folders this way would be fantastic. Hell... even browsing art threads could be fun this way, too.
I also wish it would catalog all or at least several pages of my google search so I didn't have to close it, click next, and then reopen it again.

it would be great if it could be used with other sites, folders etc. and would index multiple pages like it does for google.
