Wow, that's a great interpretation of a Viva Pinata critter. You've done a magnificent job of capturing the paper-mache look of the character through the diffuse texture and alpha masking. Top-tier stuff.

Cholden the requirement doesn't say PLAYABLE character, it just says a character from ANY 3rd or 1st person game.

"Take a character from any (FPS /3rd person) next gen game (HL2, gears of war etc) and recreate them in 500 tris or less!!"

To be honest, I'm not sure how it doesn't qualify as 3rd person, though.
