Hate to sound like a noob, but how do I configure my material (Max 9) to use a spec map?
I tried with simply using the color spec and spec level slots but that didn´t work out.
yeah dude the silhouettemake sit look higher poly than it really is, great work on that.
as far as the material goes, if you plugged your maps in the right channels maybe you need to activate the "dx9 display of materials" option in your material (the little "show in viewport" box then turns pink).

I´ll probably spend the remaining tris for the helmet.
One question:
Does all equipment have to be in the 64x64 texture?
I was thinking of reusing some textures on the map of the body.
Im missing some shape for the hair.
Body has 500 tris...Shoulderpads, helmet and sword have 136.

Long time no update...but I´m still working on it.
Tweaked the mesh a bit and got rid of the helmet...I ran out of uvspace
Next update will have a lot more progress, I swear!
