Yeah Winter I live here in Chicago. This is just a stupid way for the city to say no to GTA4 stuff. Remember that IL gov is a huge guy against violence in games and spoke out against GTA San Andreas.
But seriously there are shootings, stabbings, chokings or whatever here almost every day. Taking down the GTA4 ads isn't going to stop any of that. It isn't going to make Chicago any less ghetto or make any of these kids with guns not shoot someone for glancing at them at a McDonalds.
Most of the shootings here are school aged kids and I think we need to look at the parents and not the god damn video games.
But I don't want to get more into this as GTA4 is going to be great and we shouldn't pollute this thread with the atrocity that is Fox News.
Leaked...but whatever. Game looks amazing, car physics look a bit disappointing though. There's no weight to them - that escalade goes flying through the air. Otherwise, I'm drooling over here
Yah the gravity on the vehicles is high. I'm hoping with this online age that, if we bitch enough, they'll listen and patch it down to something more realistic. That is of course if it doesn't end up being a shitton of fun with the gravity set like that.
To stop the game opening up early, you can't actaully steal a car until you've done the first few missions on foot, however you can bypass this by jumping 27 times.
My roommates downloaded it and weve been playing it since last night We pre-ordered the original but since the download was up they downloaded it to check it out

The car-weight is perfect! Its really fun to jump and it feels pretty natural. The weight of the cars is really cool, the suspension of the vehicles plays a big deal when you drive them, wich makes it harder to drive than in previous GTA games. The game is a lot harder in general than before, you cant just take out 10 cops with a handgun without dieing. And yes, Auto-lock is a default setting, but you can turn it off because it gets really annoying if you want to blow up cars/gasstations etc.
I am kind of disappointed with some parts of the game: They said you could walk in a lot of stores/buildings, but thats not true, I think the % of buildings you can enter is about as much as in San Andreas. The big plusses of this game are all the little details, if you shoot people when theyre driving a car their foot sometimes drops on the gas and the cars races off. People drop stuff out of the car, you can see those whores giving you a blowjob in your car Oh yeah, and being drunk is absolutely AWESOME(ingame of course )!
