Futuristic WoW inspired character Jesse vs Jonny
Howdy!
This contest is between two artists! Jonny and I! This is where our updates will be, along with crits from the community and each other.
We have established rules for this competition, they are as follow:
Must be inspired / based on current WoW races.
The character can be a mix of horde an alliance.
Must be in a future era.
3000 tris for the total piece, this includes the character, 1 set of armor, a weapon and or shield.
1024 texture size total (the size can be split for 4 512s for instance).
Character must be "naked" (diffuse contains shirts / pants).
If using concept and or orthos they must be posted.
Must be presented on a pedestals (pedestals do not effect character, armor, and weapon TRI count).
Must post WIP every few days.
Textures allows:
Diffuse
Spec
Alpha
Glow

idea: if people are interested in doing more of these, perhaps we could have a "Duels" forum? User vs user contests judged by the community, each in its own thread? The two users in each duel could decide the rules for themselves, and post their WIP updates in a thread. Judged by the community... Maybe have a "hall of champions" thread with pics of the entries in previous duels and info on who won? Sound pretty sweet? Of course it does. No I'm not trying to hijack the thread. But seriously. Think about it.
Ferg... that'd be awesome. I'd love to see something like it.
Oh and Ferg, I like the idea!
