When UT3 released to retail several different retail chains had so called "Exclusive" characters if you bought them from the chain of your choice...(eg. Best Buy, Gamestop). I purchased my collector's edition at Best Buy after my local EB once again didn't have a copy of a game I preordered a good 3 months ahead of time. Inside my tin was a card with a character printed on it and a name to enter in to unlock said character. I figure these are unlockable on all copies as it'd be unpractical to ship specific copies to retail chains. I thought maybe people could post up the unlockable names that showed up in their tins so we could unlock all of them. The one that was on mine was "phayder". This unlocks a Necris female character named Alanna. So post em up if you have different unlock codes.

sort of makes the pre-order thing a bit pointless doesn't it? :P

I laughed when I read online about the 'exclusive' characters. If it was any other game I would have thought it somewhat neat, but with unreal having one of the more widely known engines, I found it astounding for anyone to think this would come across as a good marketing idea.

Not when you get Unreal Anthology free with it which gives me another serial for UT2k4 plus allows me to play all the previous Unreals.

Erm, what? unlockallchars is the ut3 console command that unlocks all unique playable characters, including the ones you'd get the code for from the preorder stuff. You can unlock more from an ini I think, but they're generic's with no backstory, and composed of the same model parts I think.
