Fall/Winter
1. Full Sail - Wassil
2. New Belgium - 2 below (or I'll default to 1554)
3. Pete's Wicked Ale (always )
The darker the better, but I'm not a fan of Guinness (Wassil is just as dark but sooo much better). I still haven't gotten the jargon down to describe beer. "Hoppy", "full"...? Otherwise I'd try to explain them
Are there any beers that are created to be served hot?
Cause if it was really cold out, I could imagine a tasty hot beer. Im sure I could imagine it being delicious, but I dont know if anyone has made it that way...

yeah, that stuff's got a real kick man.
i've recently discovered some crazy brand of Pear Cider, that they were dishing out at Download festival last year... that stuff is friggin awsome, i got totally fucking hammered on it, but never sick, no matter how much i drank..
Guinness is always good. So is Plzeňský prazdroj, or Pilsner urquell as it is known to some. Then there's grolsh, which i like because of the cool bottle. (first beer i saw with that cool cork contraption.) There's this awesome beer called Mack, brewed here in norway supposedly. Kilkenny is always cool, then there's this ale called spitfire (i think..) I consume a lot of tuborg, although its not necesarily the best beer in the world. I should really start taking notes, because when i see a well equipped bar i go on a tasting frenzy and find a bunch of new favourites - which i promptly forget the name of later on.
I also love belgian beer, although i can only remember the name of the one i drank the most down there, jupiler. I was also served a dozen of speciality beers down there too (thanks wouter and eva!;)) but i've forgotten all about the names.
Oh, and i also like this non-alcoholic beer sold here in norway called Munkholm. Its not as good as regular beer (duh) but it sure as hell beats coke or fanta or some shit like that.
but.. but if you hadnt tried new things you'd never taste the great ones . Any oportunity I get to try an un-tasted beer, i'm there.. I had a rather nice pint of leg-over tonight, some workie-ticket and geordie pride. all awesome

Actually, its not much of an effort, its just one sip

So true... God I want some now. Also, tried some Innis & Gunn over the weekend. Great stuff. Brewed in oak scotch casks, gives it an awesome flavour.
And Pete, depends on which ones you are asking about. Here the good belgian ones are around $8 where I usually go to get em (Stella's on Commercial) and I've seen similar prices elsewhere.
Others like Innis and Gunn around around 3-4 bucks a bottle in a liquor store.
And then a lot of the stuff mentioned here is pretty much as much as any other case of beer. :P
The only place I know that does draak on draught charges around 4 quid (8 dollars) for a half ... But considering its over ten percent and tastes like god having sex with your mouth, and almost everywhere else charges about 3 quid for a pint of super chilled fizzy piss, that's not so bad
1. Leinenkugle's Original
2. Leinenkugle's (the rest)
3. Strongbow
3a. Sapporo, while eating sushi
AstroZombie, you live in Plano yet you cant find good beer? Haven't you ever been to Central Market? They have an expansive beer selection. They even had several varieties of my favorite beer from home, Leinenkugel's (which I never thought I would find in Texas). They have all kinds of tasty dark European beers, and anything else you could want.
Only thing they were missing was Strongbow Cider (what a shame...though they did have Woodchuck which is almost as good)
1. Sam Adams Octoberfest
2. Sam Adams Winterfest
3. Sam Adams this-is-the-only-type-of-beer-served-out-here-fest
Seriously, if there's one thing i miss more than the coffee in Seattle it's the huge selection of beers out there!! That being said Sam Adams is a decent beer.
