Glad to see you posting on Polycount so early! I posted my first model here too and these guys have helped me out immensely.
Looks pretty good for your first model. Just keep practicing and you'll get the hang of it and be able to make more complex stuff. But you definitely need to work on unwrapping (unwrapping the model in order to put textures on it), I don't think you've grasped the concept yet. How exactly did you go about texturing the train anyway?
Here's a link I found about Unwrapping and texturing. Never used the tutorial myself but it looks pretty solid. Good luck! and have fun!
I havent actually finished it yet but i took the UV map into photoshop and I started putting real textures on it. I'm assuming the green lines on my model is improper unwrapping?
The green lines indicate where your face assignment ends, I.E. you assigned certain numbers to certain faces let's say ID#:10 only has so many faces selected/assigned, where ever that assignment of ID 10 ends is where the greenlines come in.

What exactly is wrong there, Keen?
Anyway, Remus, It's looking nice. Low poly is always fun. Maybe we could see your texture sheet? The only thing that pops out at me is that orange is too orange. But obviously this is still wip.
hmm, perhaps I was wrong about the unwrapping. The texturing on the first post looked strange (like the grey metal on the back side stopped half way up) so I thought there was some unwrapping error. Seeing it textured more, looks like you know what your doing. My bad.
