There is something weird about it still... It feels almost like the characters' center of mass is slightly off balance if you see what I mean. I kindof gives me that strange feeling I also have with the ragdoll sequences in recent CG movies like Spiderman, Harry Potter and most obviously Matrix Reloaded and PJ's King Kong. Can't really put my finger on it but it gives me some strange nausea somehow. Something about the smooth, unnatural animation interpolation I guess. Or maybe the characters moving faster than they actually could IRL. Any thoughts?
The new system reminds me of roman cancels from the guilty gear series. There's a clip of Ken doin a dragon punch which is blocked by Ryu, You can see Ken flash and it cancels the animation on the DP. If recovery is instant, there could be some nasty mind games come into play with that mess. Cancel DP, throw, or overhead, or use some revenge gauge to pop them open with the unblockable. Sounds nasty, but fun
wow they're really trying to carry their concept art style into 3D...cell shading, blue fill lighting, cross hatching...and the colors are more blown out than i'd ever dare to make
i love the refractions around the fx and the wacky hit face animations
You have to hand it to Capcom. They are taking this seriously. Just look at Chun Li's signature thunder thighs and prominent pubis bone. That is some Street Fighter shit right there.

yeah man. they fucken look like their 2D counterparts.
I'll be playing this in arcades long before you guys stop ranting about it.
The thing here now (well, since VF4) is char modification through mobilephone and arcade uplink, via gaming cards. I wonder if there will be any of that?

In interviews they already said no to character modification.

The game looks like dookie, it's lacking the capcom style I look up to.

?????? i don't think there has ever been a capcom game ever made in the history of capcom games that exudes more "capcom" style than this. they have translated their 2d sprites and concepts to 3d perfectly, the shading, the palette, the planes of space.. all the 2d elements of their design style are all here, and it looks awesome.
another new one. He looks kinda plain but may play fun so I'll hold off on judging him til I see his move set. http://games.ign.com/articles/852/852191p1.html
hopin for gameplay vids this weekend since it's on the floor at the AOU. Heard it may be at GDC also.

Yep, I just ate my hat after seeing the HD matches on gametrailers.
hehe, I know many people are going to be changing their tune once we get some direct feed videos. My god Guile's saving attack animation looks great. I love his facial expression when he does it.
