Doesnt sound like good news to me. Big corporations probably see games as an investment not a game and act accordingly when making decisions about what the game is and should be.
I dont want to play EA's latest investment. I want to play biowares latest game.
If you look at the bigger picture then this move and a couple of other acquisitions down the line sets EA up nicely to launch their own system. This may sound like crazy talk but I think well see EA doing there own thing five years from now, either they go at it alone or partner up with a hardware manufacture. Love em or hate em, EA has a huge selection of big franchises that they can exploit down the line as console exclusives. Madden alone warts and all could be a system seller. This is just my 2 cents but check this post in a few years to see if I'm right^_^ By the way check out this blurb on Next Gen.biz: http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=7622&Itemid=2

I think you're right.
