hey guys. i was just wondering what everybody who's interested in Assassin's Creed is upto in terms of 'anticipation'. ie. before skate's demo came out, i [and im sure many other skater Skate fans] was skateboarding like crazy. Before bioshock released, i was beating the shit out of little girls [this is a joke by the way]. And now, since i can't go across the galaxy in a quest for an alien named Saren, i've started parcouring, and its only got me more hyped about assassin's creed.
i've got some camera-phone vids of me par-couring along with another friend of mine. my school friends are pretty impressed, and that just makes me wanna do more! anyways, so that's what i'm upto in anticipation of this game.

This has been my most anticipated since I saw the first videos of it. I get the impression the storyline and future elements may not be as enjoyable as I'd hope but from all accounts the sandbox nature of the game is exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm a boring old sod now, i like relaxing exploration / puzzle elements more in games now, I played through oblivion a few times, played through overlord for my 3rd time now, assassins creed looks so good I cant wait

I just rewatch the videos though, does is count if I periodically think about killing people, not found time to stalk anyone yet!

@sectaurs: what can i do? lol skateboarding and par-couring are very realistic, possible things. And i already had a skateboard prior to skate, and all u need for par cour is a bus pass! [had that too!] plus, it seems that majority of my class mates par cour too.

but yes, im glad to be in somebody's wet dreams .

At my Gamestop it arrives the 13th. The ship date was 13th (which means it was supposed to be sold the 14th) but they got an email saying it will be a 10am shipment and they can sell it that day.

Put my preorder in for the uber-edition, looking forward to playing it, and looking forward to puttin the altair figure on my desk at work.

About the only thing I can say I'm "hoping" for (beyond the obvious expectation that this game will a great buy) is that they've got some way of allowing the player to free-roam and goof about after the storyline's done.

actually I kinda like that, I wasnt a big fan of a guy running around in the whole we use swords and no power armor time period myself. But after watching the way they incorporated the whole thing, I think I might pick up this game now

Rorshach: I too preordered a Limited Edition copy of Mass Effect but was told recently that was a no go for in store purchases that now it was only for online purchases thru gamestop.com. Either we're screwed or the employee there I talked with had no clue what is going on. If they come back the day I go to pick it up and there's no LE copy for me after I had preordered months ago I'm done with them.

As for Assassin's Creed I was in that same store on Saturday morning and they had a couple copies of the LE guide for the game from Prima Publishing...it comes with a hard cover art book! I grabbed one up and I can say it's pretty good stuff inside. 158 pages of characters and environments from the game. Only reason for going that route instead of waiting to see what the artbook was that came if you preordered the game was the fact it still hasn't shown up at the stores yet for those that preordered, was never said if it was some gimped tiny artbook with small pages or a real one, and the manager said he was only getting 29 of them for preorders even though he has about 120 or so preorders for the game. LAME! So those still wanting a real artbook from the game just grab up the LE guide package. Figured some people would want to know that existed.

Ive only been playing for about 2 hours...but holy crap omgwtfbbq this game is awesome.

I didn't really read much into this game before I played but DAMN I was shocked from the second the game started. Obviously don't want to ruin it for anyone...ill just say the storylines flow together amazingly well.

The only thing I don't like so far is combat, but I'm sure that I am not far enough into the game yet.

Great, IGN called it "one of the most dissappointing games of all time", and all the stuff I've read cites terrible AI, boring combat and repetitive missions. I'll hold off on buying this one.

The game still looks great. But one review I watched showed a bunch of the issues with it and most of them are issues that I'd let slide last gen. But I sorta don't think animation should clip through walls this gen. I'm really split on this one. Might just give it a gamefly and buy Mass Effect instead.

After playing the Two Worlds demo for at least 4 hours last sunday (And enjoying myself, immensely)

I've been playing the game most of the day. Despite what any reviewers have to say it's just a fun game. Shunt a beggar. Shunt a scholar. Then run around and sword fight? It's just awesome. Sure it may get repetitive if you're playing it for more than 5 hours straight, but take a break then come back and see that it's still hilarious to sneak-shank an entire squad of soldiers and you realize it's worth the money

Aside from feeling like I got ripped off for getting the Limited Edition set (see my thread), this game is worth the price of admission.

Only potential gripe is how damn choppy non-Altair animations are... some of the stuff looks like first-pass work.
