Non-hardcore 2p co op games?

My girlfriend has recently taken an interest in playing games (cue angelic chorus) and has been playing mostly puzzlers on the DS and Katamari on ps2. Since the holy grail of gaming in my humble opinion is co op gaming, does anyone know of any games you can play 2p for PS2, 360, DS or Wii?
I know there's a bunch of party games and the like out there, we've played that stuff from time to time, it never sticks. I'm looking for something more of an experience, a light adventure game or something.
And like the title of the thread says, these probably can't be hardcore games. I know I can play Gears co op. She obviously wouldn't be into that.
I've poked around a bit and not found much.

They need some Joe & Mac 2 and Mystical Ninja (SNES).
Animal Crossing for the DS is somewhat co-op... can have tons of fun together, no killing/shooting/explosions.

It's an embarassingly badass game.
We play madden together once and a while and she's actually pretty good. I used to take it easy on her until she started intercepting passes and actually learning the plays.
As for co-op I'm trying to think... Hmmm nope nothing...Sorry

I second Guitar Hero, my ex-gf would play it and get so into it that she'd forget I was in the room. My sister loves it as well, she'll drop by randomly asking to play.

I totally forgot about Cookie and Cream though, thanks. I'll look for that. I think that's a great example of what I was going for with this.
Try to play one of the old 2D Worms games. Worms2 is the favorite. We've been playing that for years, and she always kicks my ass. The 3D versions aren't as good. There's a new remake coming out for DS soon.
You could always challenge her at DDR.
I just picked up Lego Star Wars II specifically to play with my wife. Haven't started though, so I can't say how fun it is. But from what I've seen and heard from others, it's a pretty low risk purchase.

My wife and I played through Lego Star Wars II. It was very fun. She was always the gunner types, and she always made me be the Jedi's so that I could do the force puzzles quickly.
Worms is good though
