Does this mean that soon real dolls will be able to "play along"... If so I'm very disturbed by this because in no time at all well be living in the world of I robot or A.I...
I could totally own that robot in Gears of War It should work on it's penmanship first though :P
It's cool how they've used basically used hydraulics to simulate the human muscles. Unfortunately, with hydralics, I think it's going to be too difficult to get good response time out of it.
That is hot!.. and freaky seeing the muscle like tubes contracting. The one thing the video was lacking was arnolds voice saying.. "I'm going to need you to listen to me, very carefully" :P

I think it's actually pneumatic, not hydraulic (which is similar, but not quite the same thing).

You're probably right. I forgot that it was expanding, which would suggest pneumatic more than hydraulic. Same timing/speed problem still exists though... you just don't get the spraying hot oil on a failure

Exactly what I was thinking, so cool seeing the tubes inflate and stretch.

Seems like nothing new to me?

I agree, still looked cool though.

pretty good response times, better than using a liquid.
