Hey it's been a while since I posted any work but I'd like to show and get any help in improving this piece for a possible portfolio, at the time it was for a class project, and the tri limits were at 1,200. Now I have a lot more freedom to push the counts to a decent amount and get more detail. Any and all help would be appreciated and welcomed. The overall idea was for a running man concept for a weapon that the prisoners would use against the police in the arena kind of setting, the idea for me was a jury-rigged sniper rifle that looked more pieced together. Again at the time I was working with 1,200 tris.
I had some issues with the normals and the AO bake, Dunno why it was acting up, any feed back would be awesome
would be incredably uncomfortable to hold this thing because of the square grip and the clip being directly behind it. seems to be some weird normals issue on the left side
I second what EQ said...Some gun references wouldn't go astray. Some of the metal areas are really white, it looks like it has some spray paint on it (????). Here's a couple of links to tuts on Game Artist that should help.
