Hi.
I'm going to make a next-gen version of the Figher in Hexen. I have done the high-res model now and I would like to get some crits before starting on the low-res model. Thank you.
A lot of your small details are too small, and most likely will not translate to the normal map. For example, all of the small details on the hands, tiny straps, etc. should be highly exaggerated. Hands also seem small for fully gauntlet covered hands.
Spikes on the boots are real skinny, and the feet look small.
Spikes on the shoulder pads appear just pulled out instead of placed in. A strong seperation edge from where they are attached to the shoulder pads would be nice.
Overall, I don't agree with a lot of the proportional choices here, but with a good low, spec and diffuse, the final could turn out alright. So I wouldn't sweat it so much as finish it.
the belt comes right to the top of the abs in the little reference pic, yours only covers the bottom of the abs...its a personal choice but I think it would look more like the original with the full size belt/chest armour or maybe its his chest that needs to be wider and not so tall?
Haha..Awesome it's Baratus the Warrior...wow that reminds me how old that game and i am..time flies. The model looks great, you should make one one the weapons he uses to go with it..
