You should probably not make hair out of polygon spikes if you are going for fotorealism.

    you're from the ESF forum...

i think you should study female anatomy/proportions/watch more porn... her breasts are not only too large for her frame, but also a weird shape, her shoulders and upper arms seem to be considderably thicker than needed, her eyes are too far apart and her face lacks colour and contrast.

If you're going for photorealism though, that might be one of the things you'd like to change.

Or make em bigger. Why not eh.

Just because you're going for photorealism doesn't mean you have to remove the core traits of the anime characters. So keep the massive tits. Keep the broad shoulders (Tsunade has, after all, incredible physical strength). However, photorealism is a massively ambitious goal, and it doesn't look like you are near it at the moment. It looks more like somewhat more realistic anime.

Agree with the crits mentioned. Something that bothers me is the hands, they are modeled too flat, hands will carry as much expression as the face so it's important to give them a natural gesture.

yeah for sure anime tits are massive n stuff. but that doesn't mean they are deformed, or don't fit the frame.

On Tsunade, asside from the formentioned hands, the chest looks to be part of the shirt (the area that the skin should be receeding into the stomach area it instead appears to be pulling forward to merge with the intersecting cloth). The bridge of the nose has too sharp of falloff also, you might want to toy with making it more gradual so as not to get the dark shadowed areas that border it.

As for the hands, to be more specific as to whats making them look so unnatural, two things above all else are contributing: Thumbs flats never point directly in toward the palm, they are always angled. And the base of the hand needs to be lower then the wrist, as right now it looks as though the hand is either on the same level or maybe even slightly raised above the wrist. Use your own hands as reference as to how the bones and tendons are conecting, and try to make your work refelect that.

On the Leaf village arm/head bands, the symbol is indented/carved into the metal. On your Kakashi model you have it looking like it was piped on.

Just because you're going for photorealism doesn't mean you have to remove the core traits of the anime characters.

[/ QUOTE ]It depends on your concept of photorealism. If you're just taking the existing characters and giving them some more realistically shaded textures and naturalistic faces then by all means keep the physique the same. If you want them to actually be realistic then you're going to need to use a little more logic with your designs. Martial Arts involves a lot of strenuous excercise and training as would whatever fighting action goes on in the Naruto series (I'm assuming there is some combat involved in a series about ninja). Two things to consider here. First, the inadquately restrained and very large breasts would be a considerable hinderance to to the martial artists balance and movement. Secondly, theres the fact that the breast is mostly fat, which isn't something a woman who does a lot of martial art typed training would have much of. Therefore smaller breasts.

Now, given that she's the buxom character, reducing her down to an entirely realistic degree probably isn't the ideal option. A combination of significant reduction and chest wrap typed deal to cut down on excessive movement would probably be the way I'd go.

I'm basing this mostly on assumption. I've never seen Naruto, so perhaps this Tsunade isn't someone trains a lot or gets out chopping up bad guys much.

Anyway, thats enough analysis of boobs for this morning. I've got work to do.

I agree with Rockstar on Tsunade needing bigger boobs, hell when you first are introduced to her character, I don't think you see anything but her boobs for the first few minutes:) Carefull on the detail you are putting into the high poly of kakashi, as the cloth is having the same rough detail as you are doing with the skin. Cloth, should look and feel different from skin, as should metal and so on, take a look at real life and just cause you can use the stamp tool, doesn't mean you have to use it everywhere.

the hands really need fixing, try putting your hand in that pose and see how many bones you will break . The cloth has too much micro detail, but almost no medium detail, i would try to fix that issue with clothing as well wink.gif keep it up !

None, judging by my hand. The fact that the knuckles on your model are smaller than the fingers surrounding them is a is a little disconcerting though
