hey folks, just out of curiousity,I'm wondering if 3ds max9 still have that bug when Unfolding, there is always that vertex stuck on 0-0. I don't want to spend more money for a new version if this is not fixed. Yes, I'm still on Max8 and I use a legit version (Laugh at me:P).
So before I buy the new package, can anyone confirm me about that vertex bug? I did send a mail to discreet and replyed me with a stupid macro so... I'm asking here. Thanks

The simple solution (worked in Max 8, too) is to right click the UVs after unwrapping, select Cut, and then rightclick again and Paste them. It solves the problem.
If I recall correctly it has to do with the W coordinate going to some near-infinity number due to some math goofiness. I believe resetting all of the W coordinates (which aren't used anyways for 2d textures) fixes the problem as well.
Sadly I don't think it went out in the last general service pack, but who knows?
Jesse - you are lucky - it's a very reproduceable bug if you know how to do it. Used to happen to me almost every time I unwrapped a cylinder.
