Is this a fresh trailer? The last one is more than a year old. It seems that this is a leaked internal video that the team never intended to be released to the public. Their homepage is listing a request that it be taken down by any site that is displaying it. Hopefully they'll have an official update soon.

Wow, everyone's really addicted to that shoulder cam business, it's starting to become as irritating as Bullet-Time was.
Sure it works awesome but people just seem to be doing it for the sake of doing it now.
Is Shoulder-View Next-Gen?

Environments look cool, but bland atm. Characters look good. Atmosphere is what's really rockin' right now.

Hmm animations seem a bit stiff, and I really can't see anything great about the gameplay (done to death hand to hand combat and prescripted background events it seems).

That concept art in the beginning looks really nice though, and the graphics are certainly not bad.

Razor - Could have something to do with the shoulder cam being the optimal third person view for gameplay and cinematic experience in many cases. It's not next gen, been around for a while.

Would you rather they revert to an older and worse camera style than use one that is newer and proving to be more effective?

This game is looking mighty impressive though. Been hearing some funny things about its development though. Pretty vague, so probably nothing. None the less, can't wait to see more.

The environment looks impressive but wow, the quality of animation is extremely disappointing.

I think the animations were pretty good for most of it with a few exceptions, but the main problem was that the running/sidestepping speed didn't match with the speed of the animation. I'm sure they'll mess with it more before its released.

Overall I think its gonna be incredible. One of my most anticipated games.

Khang Le is a really fantastic artist, his concepts just rock, and you can really see that coming out in some of the more epic settings and interesting details within.

I've edited the original post to remove the link. If anyone has a problem with this, PM me & keep it out of this thread please. Obviously I can't stop anyone from going out to look for it themselves, it's still up on GameTrailers :P

Glad to hear it was a leak, because that large battle environment had a big, obvious bilboard matte painting in the background.

I think it's pretty. Some of the movement stuff looks a little odd but it looks like there's still a lot of 'filling in' to do.

Looks pretty dam good for a first pass, I can't wait to see the official video when it's released. I've had my eye on this title for some time now as it looks like Dark messiah on steroids!

Actually, according to the devs on the official forum, because this got leaked, there will no longer be an official video release.

So basically, we're getting punished for seeing it early.

are you sure they're fucking themselves over? think of it this way: maybe it was internal and they later were going to put together a more polished piece to release publicly. Now that the internal piece has been leaked and it didn't get a horrible reception it's probably not worth the time to put together a more polished version.

The game looks nice, but honestly I would've sat through an hour of just Khang Le's paintings. So...much....skill....brain....exploding. Pure awesomeness.

bumping this thread cause The project offset website just got a major revamp and a shit-ton of new info added for all those interested.

The single player has me very interested. I've always wanted storytelling in games like that.

Every time I see new stuff for this my interest just shoots back up again. Looks like it's gonna be 360 and pc at the moment. I wonder if they will ever post some sort of projected release date.

Their production concepts are mad cool. Love the environments too (although that battle scene one looks like a paintover of a frame from Lord of the Rings: Return of the King).
Khang Le is just amazing though.
