I am shocked and satisfied. I liked Sarah Silverman, now I love her. Paris deserved to be humiliated publicly, and in her own crowd. Honestly, I think this was more helpful to her than the much too short prison time she'll be serving in her special cell. It's funny to watch her "fans" support her, and just sad that she has fans at all. She's not a human being, or a role model, she's a spoiled child. Jack's reaction was the deathblow. I loved it.

I'm waiting for her to go in front of the camera and talk about how tough it was not having someone constantly around her to wash her face, change her clothes, and answer her phones. How three days without partying made her cry. They had to rush in her psychiatrist. The guards had to show her how to use the phone. I can't believe kids look up to her. We're doomed.

hmmm...now im thinking about what possible 'medical' conditions could lead to the switch to house arrest. The only ones that come to mind are ones that also involve either a maternity ward or a hospice...both of which are pretty unlikely I imagine.

So everyone convicted of violating probation for drunk driving should only serve for 3 days? They live in a mansion for 40 additional days?
I can't get over how often I'm hearing that she shouldn't be serving this prison sentence. Her self centered, arrogance is what got her into this mess and maybe next time she'll learn that voguing for the media doesn't not allow you to be above the law.

My real problem was when I heard the traffic woman on a local radio station, who told the DJ's that Paris shouldn't be in jail. When asked why, she answered, "Because I like her. It's not like she killed someone." The DJ made it VERY clear that this wasn't a joke and this idiot traffic woman actually believed this. Several people called in and they had experienced very similar situations. NONE of them were able to get out early, even with medical problems. A psychiatrist called in and he said no matter WHAT he rights, a prisoner has NEVER been released to house arrest.

She is getting special treatment... flat out and if they don't hold up the law to her, then it holds no strength for anyone.
