Are you a toolmaker and a tinkerer that is ready to take on new technologies? Do your scripts, tools, and gadgets allow artists the power and flexibility they need to excel? Can you digest the intricacies of next-gen engines for deployment on Xbox360 and PLAYSTATION3 consoles? Can you add that extra panache to visual effects that pushes them over the top?
If so we want to speak with you. We are looking for a Tech Artist to be the conduit between the Art Team, the Art Director, and the Programmers. You will be the studios tech and tool wizard, creating tools to make everyones art shinier, better, and more efficient.
What you've done before:
· 2+ Years as a Technical Artist in Games or Film
· A thorough understanding of Maya
· Fluent in MEL Scripting
· Experienced with creating shader based effects at the HLSL level
· Deep understanding of various scripting and programming languages (i.e. Mel, Python, C/C++, Maya API, Perl, Cg/HLSL Shaders).
· Familiar with the needs of creating 3D content for games
· Experience creating real-time visual effects
· Experience with next-gen game engines
· Passion for Games
· Very strong knowledge of the following Real Time systems: Rendering, dynamics, Animation Blending.
This is a Full Time position located in Los Angeles with a salary range of $80k-$110k. Paid relocation, Full Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision), Annual Bonus, and other benefits will be provided.
