We've recently had hires who have worked on a range of games including but not limited to Heavenly Sword, Killzone 2, Fable, Fable 2, Mass Effect and many more.
We have been interviewing a lot of people though we are in the fortunate position to wait for the right people hence still having positions available.
We have a great art team headed up by our Art director, Olivier Leonardi (Prince of Persia two thrones, Rainbow Six Vegas) and great opportunities talented, aspiring artists.
Although normal map is the common term in the industry, internally some of the studio still refer to them as local maps. So I think what has happened is something has slipped up and added both names, as it actually requires a tangent normal map, not an object space one.
Your studio sounds great, I've done a little work with the quake wars engine and would love a shot. Are you hiring any character positions? and if not would a character art portfolio with a badass art test be considered for environment?
I applied through the site a few days ago, any other suggestions on how to get a leg up? in addition to getting badass that is.
hey there spacemonkey i was reading through the site and was wondering if splashdamage has an internship program or is that considered a "work experience program"?
Tbh, if we advertise a position its for someone internally.
I'll update the thread when other roles become available. At the moment tho the biggest push is for programmers. The art roles are on the back burner for now.
We do take juniors on, JFletch was a junior at the studio once. A regular Spartan these days though
