My first head in a long time that im serious with, I want to finish this with texture and everything and hopefully its gonna be a badass looking thing, so every crits are appreciated.
Needs more chin and i'd angle the (zygomatic?) cheek bone down instead of up, i think it's supposed to be empty space in that area . Give more meat to the bottom of the ears.
Try to smooth out the forms to get more fleshier look, flat surfaces arent too good for anatomy.
Just my opinions of course.
Lol, i keep seeing demons right after i doodled one a few weeks ago, they're spreading like wolverine! hehe.
hmm I feel like the details (texture wise) make him feel a bit like he's made of stuff rather than an organic creature. theres parts that look a bit like he's made of layers of plaster or a sprayed on substance

Yeah, I get the same feeling probably due the different grain and dirt brushes used. The skin texture should be more uniform if you ask me.
Nice textures so far. Although the yellowish highlights look a bit sprayed on from far away. The face looks a bit flat too, especially the nose region.
More surprised... his eyebrows don't seem to be going down in the middle so much as arching up, mostly because you can see so much of his eyes. His mouth isn't as far open as I would expect if he were angrily yelling, but not closed enough to be angrily bearing his teeth.
Teeth and tongue are great! I see a little asymettry going on in places..however if its in your style I think you can push it a little more.
I'd definately concentrate around the eyes, brow and a little on the ears. Nothing too cartoony though. Forexample.. make one eyelid slightly more closed than the other, or vice versa.
Looking in the mirror once I realized my eyes and eyelids weren't exactly the same. Not saying everyone is like that, but it could add some personality to your piece.
He looks so happy. It's because his brows are curved upwards in a "Surprise party for me? How thoughtful!" position. If you want him to look mad, the inner 2/3's should be straighter and the outside corners should slightly lower.
As for the eyes thing, how scary is a lifeless demon? That's dull, he looks like a plastic figurine. The more life you put in the eyes in contrast to the rest of his demeanour, the more surreal and effective he'll be.
The muscles on the brow need to flatten out in the middle of the brow to make it look more like he is contracting the muscles inward. More like a squiggle(~) than a solid curve as you currently have it.
Edit: And yeah he looks a lot cooler with the black eyes than with the red ones you originally put on there.
You have the eyes sort of wrong. I think pictures would help more here than words so:
This is really progressing nicely. Do you have a specular map or reflection map at all? He looks really flat all over - his teeth, for example, should react to light and reflections differently than the skin. Keep it up!
pweh, jackie chan never looked really angry.
if you want angry, search angry muslims in google. they know how to be angry.
also, hitler is good ref.
heres a non-hitler, but looks really freaky anyways:
btw, killing the devil? isn't that a good deed?
isn't the devil supposed to be a personification of all the evil in peples hearts, while god is all the good in peoples hearts?
i mean, we're talking killing the ultimate evil here, something so bad it makes hitler, stalin, kim-jong il,
saddam hussein, and a dozen african dictators combined look like a sunday school boy.
any human evil pales. this is an evil so deep, so pure, unabashed, that ever witnessing it would wither your very soul to a writhing puddle of ectoplasmic despair.
and this angry little red guy is supposed to be a badass who tried to kill evil itself?
how did he try to kill the ultimate evil anywas, was it one of those ultimate battles you see in movies or videogames, where you fight this huge red guy with spikes and black armour, before taking the throne as the new ultimate evil?
or did he just run up to him with a sword and try to cut his head off, whereupon he was grabbed, and his horns broken off.
Started this to test the whole mad looking thing with overdoing it, but i liked it so much that i developed it much more than i need.
I will develop my real demon further soon.
The whole model uses a fake skin shader and only a diffuse map. The eyes thing wont be easy. Is there a way to choose different materials for the subtools? Otherwise i have to do some photoshoping to make a real looking render.
Thx for all the help
@dejawolf
He tryed to kill the ultimate evil like you can see in movies or videogames! They fought with there Superpowers til the demon except his inferiority.
The Devil couldnt kill him because he is allready in hell, he thought rooting out his horns an ban him over the earth would be the hardest punishment, because of all the flowers and stuff.
I dont thing it is that hard to get on the throne... im a fan of the Spawn Comics.

Love the lines of the face.
looks pretty cool, i mostly agree with psyk0 though.
Now im working with Zbrush 3 and i love it.
It shouldnt look like a mask anymore and of course not like Mat Damen!
The fact that he is a fallen demon because his horns are missing makes him hopefully something special in the mass of demons.
The new turntable funtion is nice:
Mov
edit:
nice Matt Damon, btw
Doing something good wouldnt be badass , so i think he tried to get on satans throne, but satan root out his horns and kicked him above the earth.
I improved what you mentioned but the big eyes should make him look more mad.
Finally had some time to continue working on it:
nice detailing!

Maybe just tone down the surface detail / texture a bit and make it more subtle.
(kick'em in the nutz... wolfman doesn't have no nutz, just do it!) "I know not a wolfman", still classic.
Nice piece.
I made some small changes and finally renderd a beauty shot in zbrush:
I also made something small with it in flash:
Demon-ani
(move the mouse over it)

Here is my quick changing:
His eyes should look lifeless, hes from hell! But what is wrong with his beautyfull clean teeth?
I also made some more small asymetry, but he should look good and not like you swampbug, with your strange eyelids.
Damn, looks much more scary to me without the eyes:

I did some photoshop work to get different materials in it.
