It's there, just subtle.
Good stuff Fuse. The spec for the skin could use a bit more contrast overall. It seems like the range is just too narrow leaving him with pretty much the same spec value all over but nice touch with the sweat. The face feel like it could use a few more defining hard edges/creases, like where the upper lid meets the skull. It's just a little soft feeling overall. High quality work though man.
Good eye Daz, there is some subtle AO on the skin.. Actually, for mechanical bits i used a modified cavity map sourced from the normal map using the photoshop plugin that come with Xnormal.
Since it was a first normalmapped character i experimented with a lot of stuff as the piece progressed.
Very nice, specially considering was your 1st normal-mapped character! I love the specular, the electronic "tatoo" on breast, the Borg red eye and the flesh-metal unions! Just a concept question... how he pees/poops?
