What you get to do every day
Drive the process of turning product ideas into visualizations and refine product direction through user interface design
Contribute to a range of consumer applications: web applications, mobile applications, and associated in-game controls
Conduct UI research (competitive audits, secondary research) based on business and design goals for each product; present analysis to product manager & other stakeholders as inputs to product requirements
Collaborate with product manager to translate product requirements into storyboards, flows, site maps & wireframes
Iterate on these designs to incorporate functional specifications and produce highly accurate wireframes; ensure that produced pages match wireframe specifications
Work with visual designers and/or engineering leads to determine efficacy of a given solution and to address edge cases during implementation
Lead usability testing, including preparation of documents ( test plans, scenarios and questionnaires) and moderating individual sessions; synthesize and present results to stakeholders
Evaluate UI post-release utilizing user data and propose improvements to existing products
Participate in formal and informal design critiques to give clear, constructive and effective feedback to peers
Help to build User Experience team
What you bring to the job in your professional toolkit
BS/MS preferred in HCI, Information Science, or a design discipline -industrial, graphic, instructional, or architecture and a minimum of 5+ years in design of interfaces for consumer websites & web applications
Expertise developing sites that incorporate e-commerce; social networks; user-driven content and community tools
Highly demonstrable skills creating user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, screen prototypes and functional specifications
Proven work with multidisciplinary teams mapping user research, test findings and gathering input from product managers to business objectives
Ability to identify, articulate and advocate best practices of UI and usability principles, conduct usability tests, stakeholder interviews, competitive audits and heuristic evaluations
Hands-on experience with Visio, Word, Illustrator, Photoshop, various HTML editors, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Able to meet deliverables and drive your work to completion within specified timelines
Great communication skills both written and verbal
Can work cross functionally in many areas without being constrained by your job function
Collaborative, upbeat, work ethic where you can take ownership and have fun
Able to influence and resolve issues effectively
What we would also like you to bring
Online game experience is desired or the passion for gaming
People management experience a plus
