i have to make a character with a maximum of 1600 tris for the the valkyrie profile challenge. my wip thread is
here , no modeling yet.
i was wondering, should i build the arms and legs of 6 sided cylinders or 4 sided or how much is appropriate for a model like that?
and maybe to make the thread a bit more interesting, also for others: what polycount goes with how many sided cylinder loops usually? (on bipeds)

make it look good first...then cut where you feel you can.

I also prefer to optimize instead of adding, just check the silhouette and slash thru them polys!.
may be the wrong way to do it.
I don't mind though.
