Intous 3 losing pressure sensing....

It seems nearly every day this will just stop working, and i have to restart my pc to get it to work again, in photoshop and mudbox. Its highly infuriating. I've uninstalled/reinstalled drivers countless times, but nothing seems to fix. Does anyone else have similar problems?

You're not the only one. My shitty old Graphire loses them, or sometimes simply refuses to recognize as the proper device. It seems to be a problem with the latest drivers, or something to do with 64-Bit processors or Vista. There's a thread about it on the official WACOM forums, and they said that sadly, updated drivers probably won't be around for a bit. Lazy asses, so much for a hotfix.

Have you tried rolling back a few iterations?

it happens to me in photoshop, sometimes closing and opening fixes it..
when it knackers up, does the wacom control panel still register the pressure?

Yeah it does, thats the weirdest thing. The driver still shows it working correctly. I've tried just restarting PS and that dosent seem to help, using ps7 cause i was getting retarded freezing up in cs2 when i painted too many strokes.....

is it during normal use? like one stroke it works and the next it doesn't?

or is it open PS and it doesn't work? mine does this if i switch focus from PS while it's starting up. if i start up PS and don't doing anything until it fully loads then my wacom works fine.

this sort of stuff frequently happens with photoshop, more so in the cs3 beta. Usually unplugging and plugging it back helps

I made a .bat file with the following commands to restart the tablet service. I use it whenever I get that problem. Just have to make sure that any app like Photoshop or Bodypaint is closed before running it, or it'll just crash them anyway.

net stop TabletService
net start TabletService

when that happens i unplug it from the usb , plug it again and it works !

Intuos3 here too, and it happens everytime in my other computer and on this one just often. Usually to work on photoshop with the pressure i need to reopen photoshop using the pen already, and don't touch any button, mouse, wacom button while it loads and opens. thought it was just with my tablet
