Hi... Just now I've found time to post again... These are my almost finished wips of my character...
Since I have a few hours left till deadline I'll finish up and pose the character with the weapon... And if I have time there's some new gear for him also...
*** And I'll do my best to post in the more detailed process, step by step, of how I got to this model like I was doing before...

I kinda like the sketch on the left with that single horn on the head, could be an interesting approach. But keep at the sketching dude and you'll get something you'll like.

These are the major points I'll be focusing on from now on to develop him...
Centaur --> Agility, Power and Mass.
2- Inspired by the brutality and scary looks of the character from Mortal Kombat game, Goro, I decided to add an extra pair of arms giving him a much wider possibility of moves; Atack, defence and some bonus features (wich I'm still to figure out)...
Extra pair of arms -> Superiority/brutality in hand-to-hand combat.
So the character now had mass (weight and size), strong hand-to-hand combat possibilities but it lacked a good armour idea...
3 - So, still going for that Alien/genetic thing and knowing he could not be merged with machine/metal armour as well as to not carry many armour plates tied around him wich would reduce his maneuverability/balance and speed, I reaserched some very familiar forms of life that had a naturally "merged" armour in the body somewhat similar to a exoskeleton: Insects and Arthropods.
Yes! just like lobsters, those big black and strong bugs, scorpions etc... They would fit in just fine for a genetically modified/alien character with strong/thick armour that still maintained the maneuverability, agility and speed...
Exoskeleton/natural armour ---> strong/thick armour that still maintained the maneuverability, agility and speed.
So I start out with references from horses (for centaur body)
Ok, for the body... Like I said Goro really inspired me, not only it looks kind of scary but seems very very strong... Along with other images it served as perfect reference for the four armed beast!
Now for the armour... Those exoskeleton armours...
So after all of these initial starting points/parameters, I'm finally ready to concentrate in drawing the character, designed specifically for this competition and having solid/concise foundations wich should, I hope, lead me to building (modeling) the final character without too many modifications...

Jackablade -> those are toy horses from a cartoon series called He-Man from the 80's... DOn't know exactly wich character was supposed to sit on it...

I've decided to make some more changes... more studies... This is the actual blueprint for modeling... Still not finished, need to somehow fit the head accordingly...
It goes with that idea of something freaky, as if "something went wrong" with the genetic tests...
I really enjoyed the final results... One of my friends asked me if he had different kind of "visions" like beeing capable of seeing a large scope of wave forms, from infrared to ultraviolet... So...
