Hello there!
I love guitars and I have an Epiphone Les Paul myself so I decided to give one a go.
This is the first time I've tried using specular and normal maps so any suggestions would be great. I tried doing a color specular on the Cherryburst one but I didn't really know what I was doing. Wound up just taking part of the diffuse, saturated it and did some kind of blend mode.
2,500 tris

Also did a silverburst, always liked the way they looked. On the originals the silver finish would oxidize if left in the sun and change into a brownish-gold color, supposedly does something to the sound too. Discontinued because of that and are really rare now.

mmmmm... Les Paul, I really like their semi hollows, MAY pick one up sooner or later.

I do like this, the texture for the cherry burst seems to be a bit washed out (could be the lighting though) and its a bit boxy.

The normals on the other shots look great, the lighting is really nice.

Is that your silverburst les paul in that pic?

Aw no I wish that was mine haha
Found it on google some euro site guy had a bunch of nice pictures of his 1979

Those semi hollows look pretty nice never seen em before.

The washed out color is because of the lighting, I'm not really experienced with setting up lights. I get it at other angles and it brightens up. I think you're right about the boxyness kinda bugs me. Probably coulda cut down the tris on the hardware and put more into the body. It's at 2,500 tris right now.
