doesn't seem like much detail for a 512x512 texture. looks like the orange and grey parts are the same surface texture but with different colors overlayed.
you could save a few polies by making the trigger a seperate object and just intersecting it with the grip instead of having it extrude out.
a very quick and dirty paintover of what cn be removed from the second wireframe shot shown. i edited this with what asherr said in mind:
however depending on this guns use and camera distance you could lower its polycount further because you really only need that many segments in the barrel and handle if you're wanting to view it upclose.
The gray areas look more like cement than plastic. Also, the wear on the orange isn't what you'd expect to see from such plastics. Wear wont cause the plastic to lighten unless A) It's a deep scratch or the plastic is bent, or It has been exposed to the sun for a long period of time. You definitely wont be seeing darker areas like what is in your texture. (At least not on an NES zapper.) Most of the wear on these controllers will be scuffs, which wont cause any change in color but will affect the plastic's reflective property.
In addition to what jakevn said, the lighting seems inconsistent across the texture. The barrel is lit from the top, but the handle is lit from the back side at the same intensity.
Secondly if this is supposed to be plastic then its way to metallic/concrete looking. Most plastics don't have anywhere near that amount of mottling.
Also the screw holes are completely lacking in depth. They are just black spots on a concrete surface.
Also every edge is highlighted like the thing has been drybrushed then sanded. (or painted and sandblasted) it just doesn't jive with the materials. Plastics are notoriously diffuse materials, which is why all the old computer animation is said to look like plastic. Its a simple color with a specular component.
To get the look you've got going you'd have to repaint the thing, then torch parts of it with a lighter, then scuff it up on some concrete.
Its at least in the right direction

Its to be used as a Hud weapon, so i can take even further polys out soon enough.
cheers for all the crit keep it coming!
