I like it, you should give him the cape that he has in the concept though. Maybe beef the nose up a bit to fit the gnome look. Good stuff, can't wait to see it finished. Are you thinking of doing the robochocobo too? Not often you get to use a word with five O's in it, robochocobo :P
It is a nice face but its considerably more realistic than what you'd generally see in World of Warcraft and what your concept art shows. Perhaps this is what you're going for, but it might be nice to at least push the proportions (ears and nose particularly) back a little bit towards more the stylised look.
Only thing that I would say, the ears retain alot of light typically and on the model they are very dark and stick out from the hair. I would look into some reference and see how you could make that look a little better. All I would do is lighten the ears up a little to match lighter parts of the face. From what I can see it doesnt even look like you are done painting around that area.I would get a hair brush or make one so you can maybe make that beard look a little more interesting. Nice facial painting though. I like character alot. It has alot of personality.
Great face, bad beard!
The darker places in the beard shouldn't have this skin tone, I think gray would look a lot more realistic. Also the place where the beard meets the face looks more like a fake beard blued to the face. Check some refs. Perhaps this helps http://www.lanl.gov/orgs/dvo/WOWCalendar/Images/AustraliaAboriginalElder.jpg
very nice detailed texture
buts its more a realistic style...the warcraft style its a lot more like a comicstyle and not that amount of detail...but i dont know what you want to make?
I think the eyes should have more white and the beard more grey.
Looking so cool, but you need to sharpen up the beard to match the hair. That hair is ten kinds of awesome, but the beard is a little "meh". GO GO RUSSIAN KAZAK POWER.
yeah nice! I would lose the thin red outline on the alpha of the first beard, it seperates it from the underneath beard quite harshly. maybe even try blurring the edge slightly into the lower beard?
Wow this is an amazing piece of work and its not even finished yet! I have to echo the crits about the hair. It looks less like toothpaste to me and more like corrugated art deco metal, which fits the gnome engineer theme, but I think its a bit over the top. I think you need to add finner hair detail and "imply" corrugated metal with clumps of hair that happen to look like they have been styled that way rather than made out of actual corrugated metal.
I did a quick paint over to better show what I am trying to say. Old Paint over
Woah guys, thank you so much=)
Vig, i like current hairs, but thanks a ton for overpaint.
I like, when people showing some images to help.
here is continue of saga, changed face, and thousand of little things:
ahah i like, the hair work super well too. i would add just a tiny bit of smaller hair to break the lines between skin and hair. but in that same style, Not like vig, that stink.
Hahaha gotta love B1ll and his charm =P But damn it he's right.
That paint over I did might have been a little over the top for the style you have going. But the idea behind it still stands I think you need a few strands of hight lights to break up the big top stripe look. Defiantly with the goggles on and the "paint by numbers look they have, the hair matches pretty well. When the eyes are visible there is a set amount of detail you would expect to see everywhere else.
Doing the paint over while my system was rendering didn't help =/
I'll give it one more quick shot and then leave it alone. This should closer match the paint by numbers style. After all its your model and its looking great either way you go

Robochocobo i will not do, but my friends doing him tho.

that's better?
The hair doesn't quite match the face yet, so make sure you pour your love sauce on that a bit more before calling it done.
Now do the rest of him!
Now make his face look like toothpaste!!
Currently the face + hair = conflicting styles.
