Position Title: SOE-1111 - Server Programmer
Location: Seattle, WA
Sony Online Entertainment produces and distributes online entertainment targeted to mainstream consumers and game enthusiasts and owns and manages http://station.sony.com, one of the leading online entertainment networks. SOE also works with Sony's U.S. operating companies in the area of online advertising and sponsorship sales. We are headquartered in San Diego with offices in Austin and Seattle.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement community tools, customer service tools, server monitoring and management tools for a massively multiplayer game.
Knowledge of best software practices and the ability to work efficiently and independently.
Works well under pressure and can handle multiple tasks.
Requirements:
2 years of C++
Experience with using APIs that communicate over the network.
Experience with either the Win32 or the UNIX platform.
Developed and shipped at least 1 consumer or customer service software product.
A passion for games.
Education and Experience:
B.S. in computer science preferred.
2+ years professional experience.
Experience working on PC games and/or MMO experience preferred
