Seems odd to me that it missed covering up some of the most vulnerable points of the body. Like you know... the neck? I am also somehow skeptical that he managed to make better armor than military researchers with only 15 grand knowing the kind of money that gets put into research as I do. :P

When he kneels down, the whole of his knee - about a 5 inch diameter - is exposed. Also under the arms (especially if your aiming a rifle). Shit, these are basic weakspots ANY special forces are trained to:

a/ Minimise in their own armour, and
b/ Exploit in the enemy's.

What nation's soldiers don't have exposed knees and underarms? As far as I know, American soldiers at best just have bullet resistant jackets that armor the torso.

yeah the guy may be a tool. but complaining that theres a couple open spots, when it has a bout 90% more protection than any other body armor is pretty silly,,

I laughed when he said that he used Halo and Star Wars for ideas, but that suit looks damn impressive. It makes you wonder why no one has tried this before.

Then again, my knowledge of warfare comes from futuristic FPS games. It's hard to say no to a man in an exoskeleton.

no ones done it before because of cost and praticality, i'm sure if there was no budget issues, the military could produce an armor suit about 100 times more useable than that one.

that suit would severely hamper mobility and i'm sure has even more downsides,, not to mention limited visibility, glowy lights, and crotch clock
