Dell. I've got a pair of 20.1's, the widescreens kick ass, and they've got multiple inputs (dvi, vga, svid, rga) and Picture in Picture.. so you're essentially getting four screens in one.
seems like dell is the winner . to sit next to my new dell tower. should I go refurbished? or new? the comp was refurbished and i saved almost $500 and it looks brand new.
we have people using referbished 20 incher Dells at work, I can't tell the differance, of course that differance could be how long they last? From what I hear most of the time they are just returns because people either don't pay thier bills or people turn them in for bigger or smaller versions.
out of all the LCD screens we have in the testing room the best bang for the buck is Dell.

Yeah, I've got a pair of those same ones. I luvr dem.
I have a 22 inch CHIMEI LCD. It's an unknown brand to the states and I took a chance on it after I read some reviews at newegg. I have had it for about 2 months now and it's awesome. Theres no ghosting and the brightness and colors are fantastic the MS response time is Gray to Gray 5ms. here is the link if you want to check it out
My folks each have one of these. They're not the best but they're not the worst and they look pretty nice, especially for the price. I like the simple design with the thin bezel and no speakers. I'd rather have high end good sounding detached speakers than crappy integrated ones.
Yet again - Dell. I use them at work and when I decided to replace my aging (shitty) LCD earlier this year Dell was my first choice - 19inchs for under 200 delivered.
*IF* I had the money however, I'd go for an Apple cinema display.

I heard a complaint about these with respect to actually using them for games, but I can't remember what it was. Slow refresh rates, lousy contrast, something like that... My friend has a 23" display and it looks gorgeous.
Im in the market for a new monitor myself and have been looking around. I have to say that Dell 24" is everything i want....but holy **** $700 is damn steep for me >.>;
Gateway FPD2185W has the same features i want, has some nice things said about its gaming capabilities too and its a bit cheaper to boot ...yet im still looking around for a better deal >.<
the dell 30" keep going down in price, they're $1,274.00 right now... which... lol for a 30" monitor is total steal! by far the best upgrade i ever got for my computer, this thing is HUGE!!! http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/produ...mp;sku=222-0863
Thanks for everyone recommendations on LCD monitors. Luck was on my side today, went to BJ Wholesale club for food, and saw this samsung 19" LCD, SyncMaster 930B for $110 after $50 rebate. I was kinda hesitate to buy it, since it was the last one at the store, but $110 was just too good to be true.
No ghosting from the tests I've done, and it looks huge next to my old 17" monitor. I now have more desk space for toys Best Buy had the same monitor for $279!
At work I have a Dell 24" and 19" setup, they work great!
At home I got a Philips 24" LCD monitor. I had ordered a used one from newegg.com, which had weird artifacts, I just called up Philips and they shipped me a new one in two days and I just sent the old one back in the box of the new one. This new one works flawlessly and has the little extra crap like speakers and USB hub.

I have a 20.1" BenQ FP202. It supports 1680x1050, it's 16:10 and has a 8ms response time. Costs about $300. Good bang for the buck.
