Wow, ok, i bought battlefield 2 deluxe edition ( with the expansion ) and the Sims 1 ( with all expansions ) .
Battlefield 2 wont even start ( i was kinda expecting it as my pc just has a gforce 4 MX cheap-o-ass ) ok i move to next one, sims 1 that i even played it on my crappy 133mhz pc ( loong time ago ). and gives me an error window
( the aplication has encountered an error blablabla )
And the same happens with Sims 2.

Also, have you checked for patches on the SIM games? They're usually prettey good at that.
Always check the minimum system requirements for games that you buy.

I suggest you treat the RECOMENDED system requirements as the min spec, add 10-50% to it and you have the system you actually need to enjoy the game. Min spec means it will run, it makes no claims about you actually enjoying the game.
Update your video drivers, and see what happens.

I make no claims that a crappy DirectX8.1 video card can play 9.0c games. Drivers can only take you so far, but worth a shot. I had BF2 running very poorly on a Geforce4 4600TI 128mb card, I can only guess the nightmare it would be on a MX.
its strange , but only EA games seem not to play on my computer HA .... :P
And set your swap file to a fixed size already.
