Some markings wouldn't hurt. I don't know the purpose of this plane, but giant logos on the wings might add some contrast, and some minor detailing, like, for example, the pilot's name near the cockpit, are needed as well.
If that's the plane I think itis, the control surfaces are canvas with dope and aluminum paint. I'd almost say they are too dirty tobe race planes.
And for the propellor, just draw or paint the prop as it was still and static, then use Photoshop's radial Motion blur tomake it look like it's turning.
maybe some barnacles or something on the buoys(i think thats what the bottom part is called) just to show a time spent in docks and what not. and as an answer to the topic... no i don't just the one from tale spin that Baloo flew
Looks great man... I had to do a plane awhile back for my class in gmax. Here's mine, granted since GMax can't render or handle textures well it doesn't do it justice.

I'm envious.. wouldn't mind doin some vehicles for something like that. Need to get all my vehicles together and up on my site so I can dig around for some work makin more!
agreed, texturing looks great, but I think the logos/designs sit too heavily on the rest of the texture. decrease their opacity and/or mask out some scratches and patches and/or decrease the size.
the "hero" planes will be clean, but you wont see those lazy pirate dudes soaping down their planes on a sunday afternoon, too busy teaching their daughters to pickpocket
inspirational work as always, Shepeiro!
I simply love the vibrancy you have in your colors.
just a few really minor nitpicks: some of the whitish highlights on the Kingfisher seem just a tad too strong , and the "posness golfish" could use a tad more color variation in the orange areas (this could all be just a matter of taste though)

does the UV map support numbers and shit or would they get mirrored? a nice big number 5 would go well on the wing.
hawken- yeah with four wings quite a bit of mirroring occurs so no no#s just symbols, ive been playin wid a few

this ones now called the Flying Goldfish
I think the under-wing logos would look better on the outer wingtips... and maybe combine the fish and the II so the II is larger and behind the fish.
nice work
Texturing looks great.
