anyone else pick this up today? i am having a great time not working and playing it instead. i love all the small touches they put in there, i like the micro mario and how he can run on the surface of the water. i also like the added touch of when you go down a pipe it changes the playing area from the top screen to the bottom one. only beat the first few levels but it feels really nice, very old school. okay back to playing....

I want the sequal already.
you know they are STILL sold out here in tokyo?
I love the new features.
***Edit: It's a very good, if not a bit too simple of a game. Truly a very pure experience for a video game. The mix of 3d and 2d graphics are quite charming, something Capcom should have pulled off far better with their PSP Ghost and goblins game that's around the corner.
The lack of a save at any time between levels is a huge drag though. It only allows you to save after castles. I'll really be working that suspend mode on my DS for some time now as I usually just play it in short bursts.
Overall, it is easily worth the 27 bucks I dropped on it.
Vassago: Yes, I remember your story, you're the guy who sold his DS before all the good stuff came out.

lol
It's not my fault they had nothing good for the first year!
Castlevania was the first great title the DS got (imo), and that wasn't too long ago. Now, there's Mario. Maybe I'll pick up another DS when they drop in price.
the delay is because they have to translate it into german
