I have next to no experience in enviromental modeling. But now I run into problem because I need to create an project that need to have a realistic view of the sky. I could not quite figure out how the enviromental ball and other textures works in Maya. Would anyone be so kind to give me some hint, tutorial or link to tutorial regarding creating realistic sky? Thank you.

edit: reread and downsizer is probably right, sorry cant help
A typical skybox in game art is a cube hidden under the level with a camera at the center. This camera renders a view to special portal surfaces surround the level, or flagged on certain level geometry.
Terragen will help with the texture. As for how to set it up in a Maya scene, could'nt help you mang. Not a Maya guy.
