Wireless net?

Just looking around for opinions. Haven't been able to find much info on latency for wireless broadband providers like Verizon or Sprint. I just moved out to the sticks and internet access is not so bright. Where I live they have a local ISP providing wireless but it's pretty flaky. Really looking for something more stable and (hopefully) less latent so I can still play online games. Anybody have Verizon or Sprint or other and what kind of latency do you get?
