yeah that one looks like its actually in some sort of an engine. i think with slightly better presentation they could have had a really badass entry.

I think Gordon had my favorite concept... The model was well done as well, but I think his texture killed it. Made me sad.

I doubt I'll get a place, but I still had a very fun time. First time collaborating with someone else, as well. Hugs and kisses to gauss!

I learned a lot while doing this, this being only the second realistically textured model. I think I might actually attempt a normal map next time!

I'm surprised nobody said anything about General spartan from the cgchat entry. IMO that model looks great.

Yeah General Spartan was one of my favourites.
My money is probably on rockstar though, just a bit more polished and detailed than anything else in the comp. Curse his magic soap. Other highlights from PC were gauss's concepts, especially the cube of doom chick, arshlevons entry, sectaurs anus, general roderick, spacemonkeys revenge and the all-round quality of most of the entries.
I think it was just the specific term 'general' that made everyone lapse into a baldy; 'war leader' might have kicked off more originality, i dunno. I went through a bald chick/bald guy from del monte phase too.

On the CG side, General Kalistarius, General Spartan, and General Saraphael all seem very well designed in all aspects.
I'll say either of those deserve the 1st place spot.

On this side of the fence, MoP's and spacemonkey's are quite impressive.

Hope we get another challenge soon.
