Visual FX Artist
Job Summary
Positions available for extremely talented VFX artists to conceptualize and create visuals for next-gen platforms. Create effects including rigid body dynamics, particles, and shaders to simulate the effects of explosions, smoke, fire, steam, fog, rain, flowing water, etc., and create natural phenomena like blowing leaves and debris.
Job Skills Required:
Expert knowledge in designing and creating particle systems, dynamics, and shaders.
Expert understanding of 3DS Max (preferred) or Maya, as well as Adobe Photoshop.
Must have the ability to translate 2D concepts and designs into high quality visual effects.
Must be highly organized, have a solid work ethic, and work well in a team environment.
Must be able to follow established procedures and conventions set out by the Art Lead and meet deadlines on time.
Job Qualification:
Must have 4+ yrs of experience in game development creating Visual FX.
Must have made a significant contribution to the VFX development of at least 1 shipped title in the last 2 yrs.
Additional Skills:
Knowledge of scripting in Maxscript.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Professional presentation and attitude.
Incredibly high creative intensity.
Solid background in traditional art.
Love of gaming.
