I think she needs a few wrinkles/folds where her hips meet her waist & under her breasts, to make her look a little more realistic. Other than that she is quite lovely
There are a few things so far that I would really try to fix... mainly the skintone is really weird, it's kinda too orange and pink at the same time. Also there's not really enough colour variation and it's too smooth.
Shoulder joint on the model looks very weird, not very anatomically correct, it needs more bulk around the armpit, and shouldn't curve up that way at the top.
The chemise looks like it needs some more manufacturing seams, stitching and stuff - at the moment it just looks like weird transparent stuff floating over her body. The fact that you can see a definite (and consistent) distance from her flesh looks really weird, it's like it's floating and not being worn.
I think this could be really good if you fix those issues... right now I just think it's quite good
I agree with MoP about the shoulder joint. Very disconnected from the torso. Up close, the nose is out of shape, the ears are out of place, and she's going bald. I think you went too far with the detail of the eyes, and not far enough with any other aspect of the texturing. For 5k, the texture does very little to bring her personality. She's more attractive from a distance. It's a good start tho.

Hey! I remember this character!
Are you planing to post the "updated" version for UT2004 also?
Different tones for the clothing for team colors shouldn't be too hard to do also... No?
glad to hear that people acutaly pay with these custom models ^^
making a ut port would be a bunch of extra work but i bet as soon as ut2k7 comes out i wont be able to stop myself of once more revising this character
I honestly wonder what software will Epic support this time. I believe they might have gone back to 3DMax, but Maya still has a lot to offer. Remember that UT2K7 will also support normal mapping, so ppl will be able to put a lot more in the characters and environment... well... if it does take too long to do.
I really like your first chick because she "fits" in the UT environment. Characters that stand out too much, or don't have team colors are deleted from my PC.
The Unreal Engine is Epic's primary product, of course it will accept both Maya and MAX otherwise someone might decide they shouldn't buy the UE because their team would have to relearn and their pipeline change.
As far as I know...the THREE main commercial 3d apps are supported. Max and Maya of course, and XSI's Unreal tools were released stating they would also work with Unreal Engine 3. And those of us who use them know they do. I don't think the editors are changing very much...just getting more advanced additions. That's why Unreal Engine rocks!!! So...back on topic. The title says HL2DM.
i hope you plan on adding some hair on the actual head texture to make the hair look like it blends into the modeled hair. right now it looks like she is wearing a wig and she is really bald. look around the ear and you will see what i am talking about. I have to agree with hawken about the "shell" thing. like the idea though...(i had to look real hard to even see the face...lol).
That seam is just an unwelded center seam (not all mirroring methods can weld those automatically). Noone pays attention to those because it's assumed that it will be welded when the model is done.
That nose bugs the heck out of me. It looks like someone took a baseball bat, swung it swideways just under the eyes, and squashed her nose right in. ElysiumGX had it right when he said she's attractive from a distance.
Body is great, though, and I like the hair. Go go nekomimi
only very slow iam preparing to move to hamburg right now so i dont realy find the time to do anything else besides work in the offcie and preparations
hmmmm yes .... ill get right on that ... ( the should thign wont be fixable i am using a realy mean hack to compensate for something the valve people do during their animations with the should bones )
I think that the texture could use a lot more detail, the photosourced textures from that pirate costume on the really basic cartoony skin looks wierd to me. (she dosent even have fingernails!)

Looks pretty good, though I can't say as I've seen a lot of cocktail dresses like that. I wish I had, though.

Your alpha maps look they could use a whole lot of cleaning up. The look really noisy at this stage, particularly from a distance.
You could push the shading on the flesh tones quite a bit further too.

apart from that, it's FAP FAP -tastic!!
I'd disagree with mop over the skin tones however, she is a ginger bird, and therefor, Ginger complextion suit her.

UT2004. No contest.

final texture pics of the other dress will follow soon

And I agree with the flesh tone comments. She looks like she's being overlit... like a Sims character.
*fingers on the stop watch* flaming warby for being an anime nerd ... commence ... NOW !

so all the dresses are done model uv map and texture wise
now for some rigging ... ( last chance to motivate me to change/fix something ... with a paint over ... or something )
I guess you won't need team color for HL2DM...
Etienne
I guess if I would rent a maiden I would rent her :P
Etienne
What made ya move (back?) to good old europe?
rigging is making progress
mega special credity for x-tender for the 1337 cloth layer rigging script
Is the model still due dor HL3DM?
